Vladek Cwalinski ROCKSNOWSKY

06/12/2019

ROCKSNOWSKY is a project conceived by Vladek Cwalinski on purpuse for the Paleontologic Museum “Rinaldo Zardini” of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

The title of the ehxibition distinctly winter is due to the presence at the same time of the three elements in the works of art, carried out by the painter’s hillwalkings in the Belluno Dolimites, Agordino, Fiorentina and Zoldana valleis, and particularly Cadore and Ampezzo valley.

Some thirty plates, small, medium and large size, show glimpses, views and panoramas of high levels grasped during the different year seasons and different atmospheric conditions, but always characterized by the constant presence of rock, sometimes as such or completely snow covered.

It is intended to show these works in the sole context of the Paleontologic Museum “Rinaldo Zardini”, that testifies the geologic and morphologic evolution of this extraordinary territory, in the constant analogy with fossils of countless corals, sponges, sea invertebrates and animals preserved in it, to remark the geologic specificity absolutely unique of Belluno Dolomites as to gaze at its archaic beauty through the visual approach.
